Three times I carried new life. Three times I said goodbye.
Jasmijn, through miscarriage. Tom and Tim, through stillbirth. Both from HELLP syndrome. An ambulance at 170 km/h. Blood pressure at 240 over 140. Doctors who feared for my life.
I survived. They didn't come home.
For a long time I believed that living fully meant leaving them behind. That laughing again meant forgetting. That moving forward meant moving away.
It doesn't work that way.
What I discovered — slowly, not without pain — is that your child doesn't disappear when they die. They change form. They become woven into your life as love. As presence. As a quiet strength that walks with you every single day.
I didn't heal by letting go. I healed by learning to hold them differently.
That is what I help other mothers find.
My mission
Breaking the taboo around baby loss. One conversation at a time.
Baby loss is still largely invisible. People don't know what to say. So they say nothing. Or they say the wrong thing.
That silence is one of the loneliest places a mother can be.
My work is to change that. To make this topic lighter, more future-focused, and less alone. Through coaching, through my book, through the podcast, and through the Stillborn Sisterhood community.
